Motorcyclist killed in far Eastside crash
Indianapolis, IN (March 26, 2024) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly overnight crash on the far east side of Indianapolis. The crash was reported shortly after midnight Tuesday, March 26 along East 30th Street near Pawnee Drive. That's in between North Mitthoefer and North German Church roads.
Police found a motorcycle and the driver on the northeast corner of the intersection. The driver was taken in critical condition to Eskenazi Hospital, where they were pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
A preliminary investigation indicated the motorcycle was traveling east on East 30th Street when it went down on its side and slid off the road before hitting a fence. Police said the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Three motorcyclist injured in crash
Monroe County, IN (March 6, 2024) - Around 4:00 PM, Sunday afternoon, Monroe County sheriff's deputies responded to a crash with injuries involving three motorcyclists on Indiana 446 near Lake Monroe.
Four minutes before the crash was reported, police received a report of motorcycles racing in the area, Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Brown said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The collision happened near the intersection of Indiana 446 and East Salt Creek Drive, according to a sheriff's office news release. Deputies rendered first aid to the three motorcyclists.
One was transported to the hospital via a medical helicopter because of severe lower leg injuries. The injured were: Elias Deatrick, 35, of Bloomington; Justin Offutt , 20, of Fort Wayne and Brenden Williams, 21, of Spencer.
