Biker Down Indiana Facebook Group

Indianapolis, IN (March 29, 2024) - Indiana members involved with motorcycles created this group to provide information when an accident has occurred involving a motorcycle. In the group, if you see a motorcycle down, post a photo, location and any other information you have. Fundraisers and charity events to help with medical bills of a fellow motorcyclist are allowed.
 


Please keep postings civil, many times the loved ones involved in a motorcycle accident have not received word yet of an incident. No politics allowed. Any person or organization that provides free resources, support, guidance and financial aid to injured, disabled, fallen bikers and their families are encouraged to join. If you live in Indiana, ride a motorcycle or have friends or loved ones that do, then join Biker Down Indiana.

Motorcycle crash kills one in front of campus

Terre Haute, IN (March 26, 2024) - A crash today between a motorcycle and a car has left one person dead. According to the Terre Haute Police, the crash occurred on Wabash Avenue near the entrance of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at approximately 12:43 p.m. 




Police confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle did not survive the incident, and said the identity is being withheld pending the notification the driver’s family.

Motorcyclist killed in far Eastside crash

Indianapolis, IN (March 26, 2024) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly overnight crash on the far east side of Indianapolis. The crash was reported shortly after midnight Tuesday, March 26 along East 30th Street near Pawnee Drive. That's in between North Mitthoefer and North German Church roads.
 


Police found a motorcycle and the driver on the northeast corner of the intersection. The driver was taken in critical condition to Eskenazi Hospital, where they were pronounced dead shortly after arriving.



A preliminary investigation indicated the motorcycle was traveling east on East 30th Street when it went down on its side and slid off the road before hitting a fence. Police said the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Three motorcyclist injured in crash

Monroe County, IN (March 6, 2024) - Around 4:00 PM, Sunday afternoon, Monroe County sheriff's deputies responded to a crash with injuries involving three motorcyclists on Indiana 446 near Lake Monroe. 


Four minutes before the crash was reported, police received a report of motorcycles racing in the area, Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Brown said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The collision happened near the intersection of Indiana 446 and East Salt Creek Drive, according to a sheriff's office news release. Deputies rendered first aid to the three motorcyclists.


One was transported to the hospital via a medical helicopter because of severe lower leg injuries. The injured were: Elias Deatrick, 35, of Bloomington; Justin Offutt , 20, of Fort Wayne and Brenden Williams, 21, of Spencer.
