The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said the driver failed to negotiate a turn, causing the crash. The driver and the passenger fell about 30 feet onto a grassy area.
Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash according to JFRD.
A crash report from the Florida Highway Patrol identifies the driver as a 48-year-old man from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is listed in critical condition.
The passenger is a 46-year-old woman from Beech Grove, Indiana. She is listed in serious condition. Names are being withheld at this time.
