Motorcyclist killed in early morning crash

Fishers, IN (May 26, 2024) - Police are investigating after a person was killed in a crash along Interstate 69 in Hamilton County early Sunday morning. The crash was reported around 2:00 a.m. along northbound I-69 near 126th Street in Fishers.
 


An alert from INDOT indicated the crash involved a motorcycle and one confirmed fatality.



No other information on the circumstances of the crash was immediately available. All lanes of I-69 had reopened in the area by around 6:30 a.m.

Motorcycle crash kills two in LaPorte County

LaPorte County, IN (May 20, 2024) - Two people from Kingsford Heights have died after police say a motorcycle crashed Sunday afternoon in LaPorte County. According to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle was heading northwest in the 3500 block of N. US-35 around 1:10 p.m. when it left the road, traveled across a lawn, and collided with a tree and landscaping.
 


The motorcycle then crashed into some boulders before coming to rest in a vegetable garden. Both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were ejected in the crash.



The driver, identified as 58-year-old Steven Dabney, was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The passenger, identified as 59-year-old Anna Thomas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist dies in morning crash

Harrison County, IN (May 18, 2024) - At approximately 9:15 a.m., Harrison County Deputies responded to a single motorcycle crash at the intersection of Wesley Chapel Road and New Amsterdam Road in Central, Harrison County Indiana. Deputies identified the motorcycle as a 2016 Harley-Davidson.
 


The rider was identified as Tracey Paulley, a 55 year old female resident of Central. The passenger was identified a Ryan Wilkerson, Tracey's 36 year old son. Preliminary evidence at the scene shows that the motorcycle was traveling north on Wesley Chapel Road approaching a stop sign at New Amsterdam Road.



The motorcycle continued through the stop sign across New Amsterdam Road into the woods, subsequently striking a telephone pole support cable. Tracey suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ryan survived the accident and was transported to Harrison County Hospital for further evaluation.

Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash

Allen County, IN (May 18, 2024) - A motorcyclist is in serious condition after an intersection crash. On May 17th, around 3:27 p.m., Allen County Sheriff's Department confirmed in a press release of an injured motorcyclist.
 


Police said a motorcyclist was heading southbound on State Road 101 when an SUV heading westbound on Gar Creek Road crashed into them.



Police said that the SUV driver had a stop sign when the vehicle entered the intersection and collided with the motorcyclist, who did not have a sign to abide by. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, while the SUV driver remained uninjured.

Motorcycle crash with SUV leaves man dead

Elkhart, IN (May 2, 2024) - The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported crash involving a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle around 6:13 p.m. Wednesday, on US 20 just East of County Road 115.
 


Authorities say through their investigation, a 2017 Kawasaki ZX1 ridden by 45-year-old Jason Salyers of Elkhart, Indiana was traveling East on US 20 just East of County Road 115 when he collided with the rear end of a 2011 Subaru Legacy, also traveling East.



Officials say Salyers was thrown from his motorcycle causing life-threatening injuries. He was later declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru, a 36-year-old Elkhart woman, sustained no reported injuries. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
