One Dead After Fatal Motorcycle Crash

South Bend, IN (August 15, 2021) – A fatal motorcycle crash near the 74-mile marker of the Indiana Toll Road, three miles west of the Notre Dame Exit, claimed the life of a female passenger on Saturday just after 8:30 pm, according to the Indiana State Police.

The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers have identified her as Kaneisha Akins, a 45-year-old resident of Toledo, Ohio. Her family has been notified.
