The initial investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on University Avenue when a westbound car failed to yield while making a left turn onto Fourth Street. The motorcycle collided with the car, ejecting the rider. The driver of the car was cited at the scene for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
Police say the man had sustained multiple injuries in a crash, and officers with the Champaign Police Department immediately rendered medical aid with assistance from the Champaign Fire Department.
