According to the deputy, he attempted to pull over the motorcycle in the area of US Hwy 36 and State Road 59. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed causing the deputy to lose sight of the motorcycle.
While checking the area, the deputy located debris in the roadway at US 36 and Seip Road. He then found the motorcycle and driver laying in a ditch. The deputy attempted lifesaving treatment until other emergency personnel arrived at the scene; however, the driver was pronounced dead.
No names are being released at this time.
