The crash involved a black 2025 Chevrolet Silverado and a maroon 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Upon arrival, first responders determined the motorcycle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger, while the Chevrolet Silverado was operated by a male driver.

Due to injuries sustained in the crash, both motorcycle occupants were airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend by Lutheran Air and Samaritan Air for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not injured.
